Female Empowerment Experience Journey

Cristina Arau is a visionary social entrepreneur guided by her heart. 2014 she founded the non-profit organization “Love for Life” following her life-long passion to bring together the inner and outer work, recognizing that our state of doing is informed by our state of being. “Love for Life’s” mission is dedicated to creating conscious, sustainable change to empower people and protect nature.

Together with her organization she pioneered creating sustainable access to clean, safe, and independent solar energy for the most vulnerable and hardest to reach people in the tropical rainforests in Central and South America strengthening Indigenous Nations in their self-determined movement for cultural survival and rainforest protection.

The organization’s unique approach co-creating just climate action is based on community-led processes that enable local empowerment and champion indigenous-led solutions on biodiversity protection, renewable energy access, regenerative agriculture, and food sovereignty.

Cristina studied ‘International Development’ and a Master of Arts Program in ‘Peace, Development, Security and International Conflict Transformation’. As a humanitarian and peace worker she lived and worked around the world. For the United Nations, she worked in the IDP camps in northern Uganda and participated in the documentation and codification of the traditional restorative justice system to (re-)discover voices of peace and reconciliation in the 2008 peace process.

In 2014 she served on the US congressional campaign of Marianne Williamson which initiated a new political conversation and called for a ‘Politics of Love’ rooted in the challenges of the world today. Cristina is a multiple-trained, trauma-informed yoga and meditation teacher, inspiring leader for female empowerment and conscious leadership, ambassador of Off the Mat, Into the World and a member of the ‘Safety, Security and Peace Constellation’ of  Rising Women, Rising World.
